President's Report

Happy New Year! On Behalf of the APICS Maine Board of Directors, I’d like to wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

January is a time for new beginnings and fresh perspective. It makes me want to tackle something new and different. It causes me to be motivated to improve myself in some way. A great way to increase your chances of a prosperous future is to invest in education. And I say that from personal experience.

Achieving the APICS CPIM certification many years ago was the single best thing I ever did for my career. As frightened as I was in spending the money out of my own pocket, and as fearful as I was in test taking, I’ve never once regretted the investment in that certification and I’ve never regretted the time it took to achieve it. APICS launched my career in supply chain, and I’m now the proud owner of four APICS certifications, having just passed the new CLTD certification exam.

The world is changing at a rapid pace. Those individuals who are equipped with new knowledge and a better understanding of the needs of a global and digital economy will be in constant and high demand. Let APICS Maine help you become one of those individuals! Consider coming out to our January 17th event at IDEXX and explore all that the chapter can do to help you make 2017 your best year ever!

May You be Blessed with Abundance!
